Sigismund, along with his charming wife Sergina and their young son, are enjoying life on the French Riviera. One day, while on a business trip in Paris, he meets Diana, a seductive woman in search of adventure, and spends an unforgettable night with her. The next morning, Sigismundo receives a letter informing him of Sergina’s suicide. In pain, he cannot read the letter to the end, and to hide from the terrible reality, he again throws himself into the arms of sensual Diana. Two days later, he finally picks up that fateful letter to finish reading it. The famous Sylvia Christel in the film directed by Valerian Borovchik, based on the acclaimed novel by Andre Pieira de Mandyargue.
