Ophelia Brooks and Patrick Humbert have been in their early twenties and have dated since the penultimate year of college. Ophelia is from the east coast, but came to the west coast to study and decided to stay after graduation to stay with Patrick. Patrick’s family lives in an exclusive and rich little town called Palm Ridge, where the family is very popular for being so well connected and rich. Gossip doesn’t have to travel much in such a close proximity, so people know all about the business of all others. When something important happens between Ophelia and Patrick, it doesn’t take long for the news to come from every corner of Palm Ridge. Things get worse and everyone thinks they know about the story, but they don’t know.
